I’ve gotten 3 walk ins over the last 5 years at Mercy Seat and it remains my go to for walk ins. Everyone has been really kind, professional, fast, and skilled; all four pieces are lettering that has healed beautifully. As a gal I’ve always felt welcomed and respected. Big ups to the folks here.

This place is great. Dana’s work is amazing.
Edit: I went back to get more work done. I couldn’t be happier with how Dana turned my pirate logo into body armor.

I have been thoroughly impressed with Mercy Seat tattoo, and my artist Dana Howard in particular. I got my first tattoo there about six months ago and Dana helped me take my design elements and meld them into a beautiful piece in tribute to my wife. Since this was my first tattoo and I was a complete noob about how to start the process, I spent several months researching tattoo artists and going through Instagram feeds for before reaching out to Dana because of the quality of the work she showed. I have been nothing less than impressed with the attention to detail and the artistry she has shown during the process, and I get tons of compliments from people about my finished piece. I’ve included pics of my initial forearm tattoo; Dana has since helped me with a large upper arm piece and we’re working to design what will end up being a full sleeve. What I particularly find helpful about Dana is that she is no-nonsense artist who helps steer you in the artistic direction that would work best with your ideas and themes; I trust her vision and the results are evidence of that, I believe.
As for the tattoo shop itself, I’m impressed by the cleanliness and professionalism that I’ve seen on display every time I’ve been in. While I’m sure this is a fine place to get a quick and easy flash tattoo performed, I recommend it more as a place to get a quality, artistic piece done correctly and for a price that fairly compensates for the level of experience you’re getting.
I will update this review after I finish and heal more of my complete sleeve project.
