The first thing I noticed about Straightoff was the cleanliness. The entire shop was clean and free of clutter. The next thing I noticed, was how intense the artists are in their work. The music is on, and they’re in the zone. I was worked by the apprentice (JFC, I’m terrible with names…), and she was very much in lockstep with her master. The mannerisms, the no-nonsense dedication to her work, and her set up table were nearly identical to her teacher.

Above all, I got a quality piece of art that’s important to me in memory of a loved one, and the process was modern, and much more comfortable than my first tattoo from thirty years ago.

I’ll be back to Straightoff Tattoo Emporium with my next ink therapy.
