Royal Avenue is an exceptional shop in North Houston with great artists and a very laid back and comfortable atmosphere. I’ve got a full sleeve I started in 2019 and almost a second full sleeve (I’m working on it now) from Casey there, and I pretty much plan to only use him to tat me from now on.

The shop is super clean and all the artists are very talented. There is a private piercing area with a very experienced female piercer. Even though I only use Casey, Russ and Hunter there both do great tattoo work too (their work can be seen on Instagram). I book by appointment, but they also take walk ins.

If you’re looking for a great tattoo and piercing shop on the north side of Houston, or anywhere in Houston for that matter, Royal Avenue is definitely worth visiting.

I was looking for someone to give me my first tattoo. Me and my wife recently adopted 2 children so I wanted to represent the love for our new family. Casey Hull was referred to me by my neighbor who has had several tattoos from different artists. My neighbor told me how impressed he was with Casey so I set up a consultation with him. He was very professional and started talking to me about my vision for my very first tattoo. He is absolutely a perfectionist. I was amazed by work he had done in the past and couldn’t wait to get started. He knocked it out of the park!! The detail is amazing and I highly recommend him. Thank you Casey for doing such an incredible job on my first tattoo!!

Russell is very professional person with more than 20 years of experience.
The place is safe, clean, sanitizer and they are open to any concerns one may have. They are very attentive, excellent service, and great professional work.
I highly recommend this place.

I do not recommend Ash for piercings.
She has a shaky hand & rough af.
I’m a well known TikTok influencer & still debating should I post the videos & pictures of my experience with her. I just know the power of social media & would hate for it to go that far because it would definitely go viral. Russ you’re amazing I wish things didn’t escalate between me & Ash so you could’ve did my tattoo.💛

Took me a while to find a good tattoo artist.. Jason does an amazing job and his cover ups are on point. I have been going here for a couple years now. Jason has done all my tats and cover ups. When I tell people that some of my tattoos are cover-ups, they don’t even believe it. I had one on my back, that got covered up, then somebody else tried to cover that up. It was a hot mess but you can’t even tell there was something underneath. Thanks Jason!
