This is my second time flying in from DC for a session with Johnny and every session just keeps getting better! My floral sleeve is incredible, his line work is unmatched, and the entire Publik Studio space is elevated and relaxing. Can’t wait for the next time!

Johnny’s talents as an artist are undeniable. Over a year and a half, he completed a sleeve for me that I love. He had started a second sleeve when he decided he didn’t want to do the work anymore.

That’s why I’m so conflicted writing this review. From an artistic point of view, easily five stars. But the whole time I’ve worked with him, he frequently rescheduled my appointments, often a few hours before we were supposed to begin. And he had done two sessions on my right sleeve when he decided not to do anymore work, so now I’m looking for a new artist to finish it. From a reliability point of view, one star.

If you’re doing a small, one-shot piece, he’s fantastic. For multiple sessions or larger pieces, the work is great but if your experience is anything like mine, have backup plans ready for your session days.

Johnny is the best. In the process of a full sleeve and he listens to my ideas and puts his creative spin on it and I am in LOVE. Highly recommend. His studio is super clean and comfortable.
