Moving Mountains Tattoo Collective Customer Reviews:
Beautiful work, great vibes, such friendly people. Loved what I got but left feeling taken advantage of. Was quoted $300-400 for what I got and ended up paying $700 (no tip). I appreciate the artist taking her time to make such beautiful work and would rather pay more for amazing work than the latter, but I have had lots of tattoos and she certainly milked the clock in turn leaving me feeling like I was taken advantage of- and for that I wouldn’t recommend this shop.
Update after reply:
When you quote someone a price, it shouldn’t end up being much more than that. So yes, that is certainly puzzling— not just for myself but for future customers as well. I’ve spent around $10,000 throughout my tattoo journey and have never experienced anything close to this. Again, greatly appreciate the energy the artist put into my piece (as they should), but saying one price to than more then double it is just not how business is done. Simple as that, and I did not assume my second session was free. The artist specifically told me during our consultation that the piece would cost $300-400. If the artist actually meant it to be $300-400 PER session, that should’ve been specified. Or if there were changes to that price for any reason, it’s the bare minimum to elaborate on that— ESPECIALLY in this economy. The fact that this expectation is not recognized by the owner and seems to be unrealistic shows the sheer incompetency behind this shop. You can back your employee whilst also acknowledging that they made a mistake.
Upon measuring, the tattoo I received is not “well over 8 inches”, it is in fact 6.5- but we can round up and call it 7 for you. The artist left me alone in the chair for a hour before they even got started, charged me for that time, and took well over 2 hours to even get started. So again, I would not recommend getting work done at Moving Mountains due their extremely poor communication, lack of transparency, and inability to properly quote a price. If you want your money to be valued & respected, take it anywhere but this shop. 🙂
