I had an incredible experience getting tattooed by Michael Villalobos! Walking into the shop was like walking into a bar we’re everyone knows your name, it created an amazing vibe throughout. The tattoo I received is beyond amazing; Michael’s talent truly shines through his exceptional work. I wholeheartedly recommend Michael for his skill and professionalism!

Very relaxing atmosphere, professional staff, and very clean shop. Jay is my go to for cover up’s. I cried after he did my roses because I was so happy my old tattoo that I despised was gone and replaced with something beautiful. I can’t wait to add on more to this piece and more future projects with Jay. All the other artists are amazing as well! Check them out.

I’ve been following James Montgomery ( tragicmagictattoo ) on social media for several years now, but only recently did I finally find the courage to get some work done.
I wanted a big piece, but the first and only big piece I had ever gotten (from another tattooer) some years ago turned out ugly and not what they had discussed with me at all, so I was extremely hesitant to take the plunge with something new. I have a few friends who have also been tattooed by James and their work looked awesome, which gave me the kick in the pants to go ahead and just do it!
James was super understanding, and worked with me to come up with a large upper arm piece showcasing some of my favorite Pokemon.
I have very soft skin and bruise easily, so he suggested we chip away at it in separate sessions to give everything the best chance to heal. Even just the lines blew me away, the colors were so vibrant and like nothing I had ever seen before in a tattoo, much less on myself. After the first session i couldn’t wait to see what he’d do the following session a few weeks later.
The second session he started on color on the character Tinkaton with the big hammer pictured in the photo. The color is so vibrant and I have already gotten so many compliments from people in passing, at work, and friends and family alike. The translucent effect with the mushroom and hammer behind it is my favorite, it gives such depth to the design and only further showcases the thought put into the design.
This photo is 2 weeks healed, my skin is a little dry but I haven’t moisturized today yet (lol!)
The shop owner Jay G. makes this amazing natural salve product called Salveation and I have exclusively healed my tattoo with it so far. A little goes a long way, but I also use it for daily moisturizing so I like to get the 4oz jar so it lasts me a while. James also uses this during his tattooing process and it helps immensely with the sting and inflammation that comes with getting a tattoo. It also keeps the healing itch at bay! I highly recommend it for your aftercare, especially if you like natural products with light, clean scents!!
Overall, my experiences at Meticulous Tattoo have been extremely positive, inclusive, friendly and I will definitely be returning. James has been attentive and very nice each time I’ve been in the chair and I can’t wait for next time. If you love anime, color or extremely great work, look no further: This guy can do it all!!

Booked appointment with James don’t respond back to text to verify appointment only time u hear from him is when he wants money . Poor communication skills , I refuse to do business with someone who can’t communicate with their paying clients . Best of luck to him 🫡
