Ethan is an old school artist – a laid back, patient, non-corporate dude with artistic integrity (with a love for death metal and cars, ha). He’s perhaps a bit persnickety about his process, which only told me that he takes his work seriously and truly cares about his clients and his product. I was able to communicate with him via IG message, send him photos of what I was looking to create, and he worked with me the whole way through, and even sent me a rough draft of the design, which many artists don’t do (much appreciated). He is flexible with his time and willing to work with you – he overall has a good energy and vibe. I ended up in the hot seat for 4 hours and felt comfortable with him the whole time. I look forward to coming back to finish up the shading, even though I’ve already received multiple compliments on my new ink 🙂
If you’re looking for someone who loves what he does, cares about his work and wants to collaborate with you to create a quality tattoo, I highly recommend checking out Mad Hatter and speaking with Ethan. I’ve never gone back to any of the other tattoo studios I’ve been to but I’m confident I’ll be returning to Ethan if and when inspiration strikes again in the future!
