Chris was very knowledgeable and his ability to incorporate my ideas into the beautiful tattoo he is putting on my breastbone May 21st. His artwork is gorgeous! Super chill guy too!

Fantastic art! Chris has incredible attention to detail and does a thorough job. I’ve gotten 4 tattoos done by Chris and I’ve never been unhappy. This is the best shop to get a colored tattoo at.

The unique and high quality selection of jewelry is the only thing keeping this review at two stars instead of one. I haven’t stepped foot into this place since 2022, used to be my go-to spot for glass plugs when i was stretching my ears, no problems until deciding to have my first piercing done by chris. I went in for my 18th birthday to get my bridge pierced, which was quick, easy and painless- but unmistakablely crooked when raising my eyebrows. “I guess I should be having people raise their eyebrows first. You taught me something!” Nice to hear a semblance of humility but haven’t you been piercing for at least 10 years? Unfortunately I’m the type of person to lose sleep over asymmetry, so this piercing did not last long before i threw in the towel and removed it. This instance I could forgive though, and came back again with a friend during some sort of buy-one-get-one special. I decided to have my helix and lowbret pierced (a labret beneath my already existing one). I explicitly remember chris saying “ehh, i don’t need to use a taper” before attempting to put my helix jewelry in and causing unnecessary discomfort and bleeding (I have never bled noticeably during a piercing before and haven’t since this experience), then saying “oh, looks like i forgot the taper”. Very unsettling to hear. The lowbret was pierced off center and removed on the spot, and I was basically given a credit towards a free piercing using the jewelry from the failed lowbret. At this point I finally learned my lesson and didn’t trust him to poke me again, so I came back in and asked if I could be compensated with another piece of jewelry instead of another piercing, which he declined because of “policy”? I don’t want to sound entitled, I just wish he was willing to make the situation right in some way, but no, it had to be another piercing. Needless to say, I guess he will forever owe me that piercing. Every other reviewer mentioning his arrogance is something I have to agree with. This man claims to be the best in Boise, talks down to every other shop, but I’ve had apprentices and low end shops give me better piercings than what he provided. I truly believe that he just operates under the mindset of “I’ve done this for so long I’m not even capable of making mistakes.” Maybe things have changed in the past two years, but if you want competent and compassionate piercers with nothing but high grade jewelry you should instead head to Born Weird across the street for a positive experience.

Took my daughter here to get her ears pierced. The earrings we bought are very well made, and he even took the time to color them to her exact preference. He was very thorough in his sanitation and handling of instruments and was very precise in the placement of her piercings so that they would be even. He was very personable and informative, definitely a pro. Overall, a superb experience.

Chris is everything I was looking for in an artist and skilled, experienced technician. He worked with me to create a one of a kind piece of art that is filled with meaning for me.
The best piece of advice “if you’ve been thinking of this tattoo for months or years, give your artist some time with it as well” This is my 3rd tat and by far my most visable. This advice was priceless.
Beyond the artistic experience…. his place is fantastically clean! His pre inspection of all his tools and needles and the advanced autoclave room is impressive. I have not be been to all the studios, but it’s one of THE CLEANEST I’ve seen. Very clinical in that way.
I also saw his variety of awards in so many styles! This made me feel comfortable that MY vision would be just as excellent.
If you dont have a friend, like I did, who recommended him, let this review be it!
…and while I’m not into piercing, his selection is so attractive it makes ya look!
Thanks for a great adventure, classic rock, and wild conversation.
Live long and prosper.
