Booked an appointment with one of my favorite artists, Tita Keks! Place is cool and homey. Everyone’s friendly and deeply interesting. They were playing horror movies, and we got to watch Kwaidan and some vampire movie. Some of the patrons were practicing their ukelele and trumpet while we were getting inked. Lots of cool stuff and art to see inside. They have bikes inside, so you know you can trust them. Hope i could go back to get something from Kean Mendez.

You can expect nothing but the best tattoo experience from Good Hand Manila. When you enter the store you are greeted with frames upon frames of gorgeously drawn Classical-style flash-plates adorning the walls. The place is both clean and welcoming. While I was getting tattooed I felt comfortable and the resident team is a lot of fun to just chit-chat with. They let me listen to my music and were just all-around sweethearts.

Some of the best Filipino Tattoo Artists have been at Good Hand Manila either as a guest. From what I gathered most if not all the tattoo artists that work at Good Hand are veterans in the field so rest assured that you’ll get a very high-quality piece. My tattoo artist was Dee (@dimension_35c on Instagram) who was just an all-around wonderful and professional artist to be around. I’ll let her work do the talking!

I have had nothing but good experiences at this shop. It is small but cozy, with the most room given to the artists to work on multiple people, if need be. There is at least two artists there at any given time, along with an apprentice. The shop also has guest artists that cycle through; chances are that you will be able to find one who can create the piece you are interested in. They also have physical lookbooks there, so you can see some of their past work while you check out the space or wait for your appointment.

Most of the artists, along with the shop itself, have Instagram pages where you can DM the artist to discuss scheduling, ideas, and rates. There is also the shop Facebook page, which usually has one artist monitoring it while they are working.

I have been there a handful of times now, probably four or five; I have gotten three tattoos there myself. Two were done by the artist Kiyo, while the other was done by Bjan. Both artists were professional, more than helpful in crafting my new pieces, and had great ideas when it came to scaling, position, and color schemes. Always trust the artist: they know exactly how the work is going to look on your skin. Both artists also had light touches; I fell asleep both times when I was lying down and was only mildly uncomfortable when getting a piece done on my shoulder, due to placement. Pricing can’t be beat either; a down payment is also necessary when scheduling, with a tattoo minimum of 2500 PHP.

Definitely give this place a try, the sometimes annoying traffic and tight streets are well worth the excellent work that they can provide. From little bangers to full back pieces, they can help you display some amazing art on your body.
