Ouch! Ouch! Ouch! Just kidding!! Carl did an excellent job. I was very anxious. But he talked me through. We were walk in and there was very little delay. The copy of my father’s signature was perfect. Cost was reasonable. All the other artists made it a fun experience.

Love this shop! Great atmosphere, great service, and all around laid back and comfortable vibe. Carlos is an amazing artist, super patient and just an all around professional. You have to wait to book with him which means you have to wait in line to get his work done. That means something to me. Got a half sleeve done by him and I absolutely love everything about it. Also, got a smaller tattoo by Kaiyla. Same experience! Loved the work, loved the service, and loved the atmosphere. I wouldn’t recommend going anywhere else to get work done if you want it done right!

Carlos is a phenomenal artist. He did a portrait of one of my dogs who passed and it turned out amazing! Definitely the best tattoo experience I have ever had. Will most definitely be returning here for the rest of my portrait tattoo needs!

Terrible customer service! He does not follow through with what he says he is going to. I have been trying to get my sleeves completed since November of 2021. I understand that they are booked up. I have no problem waiting for good work. After pulling teeth one appointment was set and quoted roughly $3,200 for one arm, again I’m fine with paying for quality work. I am not however willing to pay that kind of money and have the kind of customer service that I have been shown. I have emailed and messaged multiple times to get the rest of the appointments scheduled to get only one arm ( only a quarter Uncompleted done thus far) completed before my wife goes in for double mastectomy and only messaged received was they would check dates after weeks of me messaging. It has now been well over a month and still have not heard anything from them. The tattoo industry may be a different beast and culture but customer service does not. If someone is paying thousands of dollars for ink, they expect some level of customer service. Only reason they are getting a 2 is because the actual experience of getting tattooed was wonderful. The atmosphere was great and energy in the shop was great but again partial uncompleted tattoo and no responses to messages over several months is just not good business.

I have been on the hunt for a tattoo artists to custom design a lion tattoo for myself. After about 10 years of searching and various consultations I discovered Dark Sail and got an appointment with Carlos. I was so happy with how it turned out. It was my very first tattoo and was a relatively large piece. He was sanitary, professional, and the place was decorated really well, it was laid back, and a very comfortable atmosphere. I will definitely be back in the future for any other tattoo needs. This company is definitely my favorite.
