Just happened to walk by and stop in to see what about a tattoo, and was surprised how cool the space is. The staff was super inviting and friendly. The space is very big with a barber shop and phenomenal coffee shop in the back. The Colombian food trailer on the side is great as well. Will definitely be back!

I love this beautiful and uniquely designed space, and the people; the whole team are warm and welcoming and will have you smiling. I followed my tattoo artist San there as he joined the team, and I’ve come to just love being there and find myself going back again and again for delicious coffees served by smiling friendly staff, musical open mic nights, yoga, and all kinds of fun events. Check it out!

Visiting family in Austin and after eating barbecue, coffee sounded good. We drove by Dark Horse, saw the sign and decided to stop for coffee. Coffee was fabulous! Very artsy vibe, love the decor. We didn’t need a haircut but it would have been convenient. Tattoo shop looks great, professional staff. Please stop by, grab a coffee, get a haircut while you get a tattoo. I highly recommend it when visiting the East side of Austin! Very exciting place to visit. Don’ forget the music and other events. Check them out!!❤️

I hardly write reviews if ever, but I wanted to say that Dark Horse is by far the best coffee shop that I have ever been to. The environment is incredible. I was in already in awe that they were able to seamlessly integrate very different concepts in a way that, somehow, just made sense. But, what was even more surprising to me was the energy of the people that worked there. Everyone was so nice, personable, and welcoming. It was the type of nice that you’re pleasantly surprised by. I was there for the free chai day that they had, and I was shown where to go and had great small talk with the barista. I almost never receive that level of service when I pay for something, so to have received that level of service without actually paying for anything was mind-blowing. I woke up still tired and grumpy, but leaving Dark Horse, I felt energized and in a good mood. I will definitely be returning.
(Also, the chai is incredible. Probably the best I have had. Get it.)
