I cannot say enough good about Black Fish Tattoo, from the moment I walked in it felt welcoming and friendly. I have been tattooed by Chris J twice now and each time they made sure my ideas and input were incorporated into the piece until I was happy with what was done. Not only are they extremely talented, but also extremely warm and fun person. It made the session go by that much faster and with minimal pain. The line work and color Chris does is fantastic and I’m already thinking about what I want them to do next! If you live in New York (or even out of state) and want an incredibly well done tattoo, Black Fish is the place to go!

Loved the experience! Kevin was the most amazing, kind hearted, first tattoo artist I could have ever imagined. So calm, focused and intriguing to talk to while the tattoo was being done! If I didn’t live so far away, he’d be my tattoo artist for life. I couldn’t stop smiling after I got done. I’m still smiling. I HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND KEVIN! Such a very intellectual man❤️

I will say “Sae & Morgan “ treated me very kindly , Sae was so patient and understanding with my tattoo & even moved around some appointments to fit me in the schedule even though it was my first time. This is my 6 or 7 tattoo experience and it was just an amazing experience. The photo below is just being unwrapped and I haven’t removed the excess ink off. Fine lines were perfect & last but not least stencil was done on second try perfectly. I usually wait hours for them to properly fix the stencil.

Got my first Tattoo ever at blackfish in 2021. Been a customer for 3 years. Chris J is my artist and couldnt ask for a better person with a better vibe and vision/creativityfor my experience. Im locked in with Chris and blackfish to finish my sleeve… Ive had about 10 sessions total so far and couldnt recommend them more. Just cool people.. high quality tats and good vibes all around .
