Excellent idea to have this available for those interested in body art and modifications! Having been a tattoo model for a couple of students myself, I can definitely say that I’m very impressed with the level of skill and knowledge they have. The instructors are very involved and guide and mentor the students in a very positive way!

If I could give 0 stars I would. Currently Alberta College of Body Art (Cree8iv ink) is offering to fill in linework tattoos for free. I understand wanting to give students practice but this seems like a very inconsiderate business choice, and one that was made out of the owners greed. This is taking away work from all of the other tattoo artists in GP who can’t afford to be giving away work for free. And this is not meant in any way to offend the people who are taking advantage of this. I get it, free tattooing seems like an awesome deal but I will definitely not be giving Cree8iv any of my business or recommending it to anyone.
In most of the posts I’ve seen, this studio just seems like a very bad business with poor practices when it comes to tattooing. Also, to charge people over $20,000 for 6 months of “tattoo school” (which is a waste of money anyway according to almost every tattoo artist I have spoken to) is obviously just a huge money grab, once again feeding the owners greed.
This business is just horrible. I would not recommend it to anyone. And for those who have seen the quality of the work coming from the owner, it is obvious that this is not someone who should be teaching others how to tattoo.

Schooling is very thorough, from tattoo history, art history, complete knowledge of coil/rotary machines, incredible health and safety measures, business classes, and so much more. This is not an art school, so students must be proficient in art and will not be accepted into the program without already having adequate art background. Bobbi Jo is professional, and honest, and gives each student everything they need to be successful upon graduation. Highly recommend!

As a professional tattoo artist with 15+ years under my belt, on the surface this seems like a good idea. However, the rich history and traditions are being made a mockery. This is supposed to be sacred knowledge handed down mentor to apprentice. And our industry is saturated 300% over the past 10 years. This is opening the flood gates for even MORE shops opening up. In this industry we get paid a percentage of what comes in. Not by the hour like a wage. At times its hard enough to make a living. More artists means less steady incomes.
