I cannot recommend this tattoo shop enough. The owner is the perfect balance of creative, warm, kind, and compassionate that you want as a client. She is also an extraordinarily competent artist with great pricing and experience. I have over a dozen tattoos and the ones done by Shy are the ones I am constantly stopped on the street and complimented on. I was in a very vulnerable state going in, I was grieving, and in various states of undress for my tattoos and I felt so safe and cared for with her. She really heard me when we spoke about design and composition, and placement options. I felt like she really knew where a project would look nice on my body, and her custom piece for me made me feel so seen and understood. She listened to me whenever I needed a break and her safety practices and cleanliness were perfect. Not only do I recommend her to my friends and family, but I’m a repeat customer myself. She’s so approachable, if you are thinking about getting a piece – just hit her up! You won’t regret it.

When I first moved to Coos Bay last year, I searched all over social media for a new tattoo artist. Out of pure luck (or fate), I stumbled across Shy’s Instagram page where I immediately fell in love with one of her flash designs. I have had a few not-so-great experiences with tattoo artists in the past, but upon meeting Shy I felt right at ease. Her space was clean and welcoming, and she was so genuine in asking me questions and getting to know me during our first session. I was already wanting to get another one with her and asked her to do whatever she wanted! She created a custom piece for my forearm that has received so many compliments from anyone who catches a glimpse of it. My other favorite part about Shy is if I ask if she can do something (i.e. hand tattoos), there’s no hesitation or denial, she’s excited to do it! Her talent and personality speaks for itself, as highlighted in her client base. There’s a reason why she has so many repeat customers!

Shy was an absolute angel to my cousins and I. There were 3 of us getting memorial tattoos for our grandma and we all had our partners with us so 6 of us total. She let us all come and be with each other while we got our tattoos done. We all changed the size or placement of the tattoos and Shy wasn’t bothered in the least. This was the most comfortable tattoo experience I have ever had! Shy does extremely good work, she has a light hand, and was super time efficient! 15/10 would recommend if you want an overall calm, comfortable and personable experience! We will definitely be back! 🖤

This shop is amazing! Shy does such amazing work, I won’t ever go anywhere else. Her husband and her are so friendly and welcoming. She makes you feel comfortable your entire appointment. She has helped me figure out what and where to put certain pieces I’ve wanted and totally works with ideas I have. She uses her best judgment making you feel confident and good! The pricing of also very reasonable! If you’re wanting a tattoo this is hands down the place to go!

I was ‘drawn’ (pun not intended) to Shy’s style when I first came across her portfolio, so much so, that I drove 3 hours to Cottage Grove, where she was in tattoo school, at the time.
Fast forward to, now, and how, even though she has evolved in her craft, her natural talent is a given, and she is passionate about the work that she does. I am grateful to be adorned several pieces of her artistry, at this point.
