For high quality tattoos, I highly recommend Brian Parrillo of Ethereal Tattoo. His artwork is phenomenal and his attention to detail is stellar. He completed a portrait of my soul dog on my arm that is absolutely stunning. Brian is professional, kind, and incredibly passionate about his work. The shop is very clean, beautiful, and tranquil.

Finally found an artist to do my sleeve memorial to my mom and made an appointment months in advance. I drove 2.5 hours for a 15min consult with him and was very excited to come back in a few days after he drew it up. A few days passed and I never got to see what he drew up but I’ve seen his work and knew it would be good. I drove another 2.25 hours on the day of my appointment and 15min away he called and cancelled saying he was exposed to covid19. I understood and sent my well wishes (all documented) and even checked up on him over the two week quarantine. Once he was cleared to start working again he kept telling me he will find a new day to get this done, he even said he would come my way to compensate for the cancellation! I was extremely impressed, at the time….btw, this was August first. Today is 9/11 and he just refunded my deposit and said he can’t find a day to work on my piece. This is absolutely unprofessional and I should have been the FIRST person he contacted to get rescheduled. I know I’ll find a person to do my memorial but I wouldn’t recommend Xavi to anyone looking for a good experience in getting a good piece of work done. I will be telling this story again to many people and he even works out of a shop in my town on occasion but couldn’t get me scheduled. This started May 27!

My first time going here to Durham for a tattoo after my original artist left the state. I don’t normally do reviews like that, I absolutely love the artwork Rene did for me ! Listened to the details I wanted and how I wanted to change things within the art I wanted. Very clean and sterile, professional before/during AND after with letting me know aftercare, and we were both making sure we were good at all times (him tattooing and me being still so the session goes smoothly as possible) since the session took about 5 hours. Even his booking assistant Hannette is the sweetest ever !!! She is wonderful with communication and answered all the questions I had regarding my appt with Rene. I have been referring my friends since they have been asking who did my tattoo, so hopefully Rene will be getting new clients soon !!! I’ll definitely be back soon for my next one !!! ☺️ Thank you both for being awesome !

I am extremely happy with the tattoo I received from Yaz, she was prompt with all my emails and answered all my questions. She had a cancelation and was able to get me in early, her work was professional and clean and she was generally super nice to be around! The shop was incredibly clean and well organized and I have every intent on getting another tattoo by her there in January.
