I spoke with Joe and explained to him what I wanted. I sent him reference photos and gave him some ideas. The design he came up with was like it was pulled straight out of my head and what I wanted. I loved it.
My actual tattoo experience was great. The entire shop is clean and very well sterilized. Joe was very informative and patient with me. I could tell that he’s been tattooing for years. When it came to my lower arm by my elbow, Joe would do a little bit and then move to a different spot so it wouldn’t be so painful. The other artist are so friendly and kept me company when I was sitting in the chair. I will definitely be going back.
10/10 will recommend to anyone in the area looking for American traditional work.
Smoking guns has been one of the most popular and infamous tattoo shops near Fort Bragg/Liberty area… and for a while. I have also been in the area a while. And with that said, I have religiously been going to Joe for multiple years. Not only do I get the most qualitative work with the most reasonable price, but I’ve gotten a genuine friend who makes the experience memorable and real. Every. Time. Family, friends, movies, music, life…. You name it/ a solid conversationalist. Real is something that’s super uncommon, especially in this town and in his line of profession. He’s efficient and methodical in his work. Again. Every. Single. Time. Not
only do I respect him as an artist, but I respect him as a man, father, husband, person, artist and businessman. I can’t wait to see him again because he’s rad as hell and I know that whatever I get will be the best version of what I truly want in my heart. I love you, dude! See you soon!
