I went to Motor City Ink as a walk in with 2 girlfriends and we had a great experience! Everyone was friendly in the shop. It was super clean and such a good vibe. Louie did a fantastic job on my tattoo, I will definitely be back to see him!

I have known Ashton previous to his becoming a tattoo artist, and followed his journey through apprenticeship in awe. I scheduled a consultation as soon as I heard he was ready to tattoo the public. The shop is lovely. Well organized, incredibly clean, smells good, and it’s well decorated. Truthfully, I don’t know if I can sing him enough praise. Everything he does is so meticulous. From set up to aftercare instructions, he takes great care in each step. He made sure I was comfortable, brought me water, let me pick the shows on TV, and sent me home with such beautiful art. It’s amazing to watch him work, and an even better feeling seeing my tattoo in the mirror. His art is gorgeous, his work ethic to be envied, and he is a great guy. I will be back for many more.

I did a walk in appointment at Motor City Tattoo for a small fine line tattoo. The staff there is great. Friendly and welcoming. Ashton helped me with my tattoo and he is excellent. He is patient and worked with me on exactly what placement I wanted. He’s thorough and did an awesome job. I highly recommend him and Motor City Tattoo.

Sarah came highly recommended, and was who I chose to do a very special tattoo (my first tattoo). She was kind, helpful and patient. My mom and I have wanted to get small matching tattoos for years, but she has had a sudden decline in her health and although she was unable to get one for herself, she was with me to get mine. I will forever cherish this perfect reminder of my beautiful mother long after she leaves this earth, thanks to Sarah 🩷

I had a very special design for my mom who has passed so it was important that the final design stayed true to my original request. Ben took the pics I brought in and created the perfect sketch without modifying any of the art or writing. The placement on my chest, the colors, and the flower itself made it tricky but, he did it perfect. He was also very confident from the get-go and incorporated everything I had to say into the design which helped me get over the stress I had with this particular tattoo. Love this shop. Will be doing any/all future inking here.
