My artist was Christopher Dudley, he was super super helpful. First, there was issues scheduling because I thought I had booked it for the wrong day and then I asked him to cancel and he did, and then I messaged him again and realized it was actually the right day. He never made a fuss about it and was super super kind and understanding, I really appreciated that. I also went back-and-forth between what I wanted, at first I wanted a full color, gumball machine, and then I wanted some kind of rainbow stars on my arm. then he gave me the idea to mix the two designs together. When I came into the shop and saw the design, it was exactly what I had on my mind. It was perfect, and I could tell that he really cared about the art he made for me. i’m really in love with it, and i feel like the price is less than if I were to have gone somewhere else. it’s also healing beautifully!

After having some unfavorable experiences with other tattoo/piercing shops in the area, I definitely recommend Live Wire! It is a welcoming environment with good people. I especially recommend Chris Keener! He helped me finish a project that I had started elsewhere and it turned out even better than I imagined. 10/10 communication, flexibility, talent, etc!

Fantastic! Live wire has the old school vibe and atmosphere. This was my first time here, after being stood up by regular shop. I was a walk-in for a custom tattoo, picture my mother drew with her handwriting. Chris did a fabulous job. Shop is clean, spacious, easy to find and staff is very inviting.

I’ve been tattooed by Chris Keener 6 times and Gill once. Absolutely love all the work I’ve had done here. Clean shop. Not at all intimidating. Great prices for the skill level of the artists. They work with you to help you plan the best tattoo. Everyone here is super personable. I visit Blacksburg every time I want new ink.
