I went here for my bday about a month ago. Caitlin was my artist and while she was very sweet, I didn’t feel like she listened to my feedback when it came to my tattoo. I wanted a simple tattoo out of memory of my mom and we did discuss color since the reference photo looks to have some color in it (I’m aware the photo could be Ai). Once she was done outlining, I gave her my feed back, but she seemed hesitant to follow through on it. I’m new with tattoos so I’m not sure what to expect and I thought I was just being paranoid the entire time. I left happy at first, but once in the sun, I saw that the lines were not great and overlapped others. I went back after my tattoo was wrapped, and Caitlin reassured me the tattoo would thicken out after two weeks, which it did. After a month though, the ink started to come out of my skin and certain lines became much thicker then the rest. I’m now worried that if I have a touch up, I’ll no longer be able to achieve the original tattoo I wanted (last photo). If this is the case, I’m considering getting this tattoo removed altogether to start over. In terms of the shop though, the shop inside is clean and very well decorated. I sadly just wont return.

We travelled up to DC from Alabama and my daughter and I got matching tattoos by Jason. The booking process was easy but thorough, Jonathan made sure we were all set. The shop was easy to find, clean and had a good vibe. Jason was amazing, real nice guy and professional. He drew up an idea based on what we sent him and it was perfect. Very talented artist! Overall we are very happy with the entire experience.

I absolutely love the tattoo I got from Olena Pukach at Lady Octopus Tattoos!! Her design is exactly what I wanted and she was quick and very professional with the service. It healed so quickly as well, after 4 days with the “Second Skin” bandage, there was only one additional week of tenderness and no peeling whatsoever. I was also allowed to use numbing cream for the tattoo, which was a major plus for my experience. Furthermore, the studio is lovely and Jonathan was very professional in communicating with me to schedule my appointment, as well as being understanding in rescheduling when I got sick unexpectedly. Would definitely recommend this studio!!

Truly the best tattoo experience I’ve ever had! Everything from the setup/scheduling to the art to the tattoo itself was stellar. My husband and I booked back to back appointments which they were very gracious in accommodating. Caitlin is also a FABULOUS artist. Can’t recommend Lady Octopus enough!

I have had the absolute best experiences at Lady Octopus! I’ve been back multiple times and Jonathan makes booking so easy. Gilda is a gem and not only is she an amazingly talented artist, but also a fantastic person. Her line and illustrative work is incredible and unique. I trust her guidance completely – from the design, the placement and everything else in between. You can tell she is so passionate about her work. She takes the time to make you feel comfortable also and ensures everything is sterile, she shows you the expiration dates, etc. I won’t go anywhere else now that I’ve found Lady Octopus!
