I was able to get on Nathan Marti’s schedule at the end of last year and had a 7-hour session yesterday for a chest piece that I have wanted since I was 16 years old. Nathan is truly a gifted artiest and tattooer, and he absolutely nailed the design I was going for. He also added some of his own ideas and elements to the design that seamlessly blends it in with my current sleeve work. I wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to sit for that long. Most of my other sessions with various artists are 2-3 hours, but
I have decent pain tolerance, but Nate is pretty gentle and skilled with the machine.

I’m less than 24 hours from fresh ink, and this already feels like it will be a pretty easy healing process. I’ll let the design speak for itself in the picture, but the overall experience at Hollow Earth from start to finish was easy and enjoyable. The space is super clean, has very cool art on the walls, and all the artists were very friendly. Nate even went out and put the day parking pass on my car while I was filling out paperwork so I didn’t have to. That was a nice unexpected touch of good customer service.

The work I saw other artists in the studio producing was also pretty incredible. This is definitely a great tattoo studio in Columbus, but they don’t take walk-ins and it may take you a while to get on your chosen artists schedule. BUT, it is absolutely worth the wait. I LOVE my tiger tattoo and will be getting more work from this studio down the road!

I recently had a portrait of my dog done by Mackenzie. Prior to the appointment, she clearly communicated what the process was and what I needed to do beforehand. The shop was professional and clean, and they paid for my parking out front. She made sure I was comfortable while she tattooed me and was very detailed throughout the process. I absolutely love the work she did! If I get another portrait done, she will be at the top of my list of artists!

Caleb Ledley did my tattoo. He was AMAZING. Line work is great and it looks exactly like I wanted. I spent forever finding a great artist and I’m so glad I did. I’ll be returning if I need anything else done.

I have been going to Nate Marti for years and every single tattoo I have is quality and has lasted for years. I have a full sleeve we started in 2014 and finished in 2017 and still looks just as new. I have been tattooed by Nate about 30 times at this point and there is no one else I trust more to do my tattoos! I get compliments on all of my tattoos all the time. I highly recommend Hollow Earth not just for Nate but the other artists, as well. If you are looking for a good quality tattoo from a good shop/artist, this is the place to be in Columbus.

To everyone looking into making a tattoo idea come to life, do yourself a favor and come to Hollow Earth. You will not find better artists than here. I am blown away everytime I go. I see Caleb Ledley, let him do his thing with my tattoos and its amazing what he can do and what creative routes he takes with it. The talent is mind blowing whether its Nathan, Rusty or Caleb or even a guest artist they have in town, you will not be disappointed with how professional and how much goes into your art.
