We got here our tattoo done with my girlfriend. From the beggining communication on instagram was totally fine and clear, the studio is very modern and clean, loved the style! My tattoo artist was super chill guy – Sir Topek. We did whale shark with combination of traditional Phillipino ornaments. The tattoo is looking great, it was fast and comfortable. Small warning: For aftercare tattoo I prefer to buy healing cream in Pharmacy. Did an exception and it was a mistake. I don’t recommend anyone to buy Grillaink cream as I found dirt/ mold inside! Again I will stick only to products from Pharmacy. Except that, it was great time and thank you for everyone for great work! Tomas

When I entered was a little startled at first because the tattoos they had was scary looking gentleman but they were very friendly and I was very impressed with the artists and he’s work. He did it slow and steady. Understanding the pain of he’s client. Definitely worth the price. Thank you kuya ! Will definitely come back here for another tattoo !

In short – I can’t recommend 55Tinta highly enough. Get set – this will be a long review.

For background, I’m an Aussie working over here in Manila for a few weeks. I’ve been wanting a tattoo for a while, but had several bad experiences in Australia for reasons I’m not really sure of…but I think it’s because I’m a 41 yo woman who doesn’t maintain an instagram profile, therefore I’m probably difficult to market from an artist’s perspective. It seems to be all about instagram in Australia, but I could be wrong…anyway that’s just my experience.

I’ve been wanting a tattoo to commemorate my daughter’s life – I lost her a couple of years ago, when she was only two days old. So this tattoo was kinda important to me. Although I’ve had a design in mind for a while, I wasn’t sure how to put it together. So a few weeks before travelling to Manila, I got in touch with 55Tinta – they had good reviews and I really liked the work of a couple of their artists in particular. Their artists matched the styles of tattoos I wad looking for, and Niel from the Makati studio responded to my enquiry.

Before I left Australia, I emailed him some ideas of what I was thinking about, and then once I landed in the Philippines I went to see him for a consultation. He looked at the area of my arm where I wanted the tattoo, assessed the surface area as well as my skin tone, and then developed the ideas i had submitted into something I was happy with. And so happy I was.

This was no small piece – I was in the chair for 10 hours. Sir Niel was great, every step of the way. His attention to detail was apparent. He didn’t overlook any detail. His advice and aftercare were fantastic. I got exactly what I wanted, per the initial design. He and his consultant, Wally, were brilliant and accomodating. Everything was cling wrapped and clean. Every needle came out of a sealed packet and was opened in front of me. I had complete trust and confidence.

My arm is now healing, as is my heart. When I’m back in Manila next, I will be linking up with Niel and Wally again. Trust these guys, or the other artists from 55Tinta with your artwork – they are the real deal. God bless you Niel & Wally. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Mel. ❤️

Neil was incredible! Super nice, helpful, and patient with the process. The staff took their time to make sure we were comfortable and that everything was perfect. Highly recommend Neil and the 55Tinta crew!!

Me and my boyfriend had three tattoos. They took their time and advised us on the exact size and position of the tattoos which was really helpful. The results are really really good. We definitely recommend going there if you wanna get a tattoo!
