Kirk Alley is an absolutely amazing artist. I have been visiting 1111 AD on and off for 10 years working on a deep-sea sleeve. I cannot say enough about this establishment. 1111 AD isn’t your run-of-the-mill tattoo parlor. It’s a veritable treasure trove of artistry, both in the form of stunning tattoos and breathtaking artwork for sale. Walking into the studio is like stepping into an art gallery with ink as the medium. The walls are adorned with a captivating collection of original paintings, prints, and drawings. The studio itself is clean, welcoming, and exudes an artistic vibe that instantly puts you at ease. Kirk leads a team of amazingly creative and friendly resident artists that have you covered no matter what design you have in mind. They encourage collaboration with their clients to create custom tattoo designs. The artists take the time to understand your vision and transform it into a unique work of body art that is both meaningful and visually stunning. All in all, 1111 AD is a killer tattoo studio with a heart for art. Whether you’re looking to get an incredible tattoo or take home an art piece that speaks to your soul, this studio has got you covered. I cannot begin to say enough about Kirk Alley. After the death of my father, I was looking to have a memorial piece done. I searched far and wide for the right person. I found Kirk’s work to be absolutely stunning! I called him to make sure he was able to add some of my dad’s ashes into the ink, he offered this service, and I immediately booked my session.

When I arrived at his business, I had only known him as “Kirk Alley.” To my surprise when I went inside, I saw that his business name actually included “11:11.” While those numbers are significant to Kirk, they are extremely significant to me. I had truly found the artist I was supposed to be with!

He took his time designing the memorial piece with a few small changes I wanted from multiple photographs I had brought in. I wanted it on my back, and I told him that he can go as big or small as he needs to–this is his area of expertise, and he can do whatever he needs to. We began the tattoo, and he was always checking in with me to make sure I was as comfortable as possible. The black and gray realism piece with a splash of blue is absolutely stunning, and ten years later, it is still in excellent condition with the ink holding strong.

I went back a couple of months ago for a dedication piece for my mom. This one was a full-color realism and was a cover up of a bad mistake when I made a horrible decision to try another artist (woof! It was BAD). This new piece is on my foot and fades to the toes and fades just above my ankle–so it’s big for that area. While there were a few times where the pain was nearly blacking me out, Kirk went as easy on me as he could while still producing a gorgeous work of art. The foot is an extremely sensitive part of the body to get worked on because it’s all bone, and I’d have to say, I’d gladly do it again with him.

Kirk is the perfect combination of being professional yet personable. His business is clean, and his walls are covered with his absolutely breathtaking artwork which is available for purchase. He returns messages in a timely manner, he is willing to create a one-of-a-kind design for you, or he will gladly tattoo your artwork you provide. He is meticulous, and his creativity has no end. He is a master of his art, and I would highly reommend him.
